A Day Off

Friday the boys were out of school for teacher in-service. And it was a good day to be out and just lay around and play because it was like this outside.
And while they did this....

And Kipp did this....

then this (the kid was standing right next to me and I completely didn't realize what he was doing)...

and Cora was doing this...

I took these

new sewing pins

and made this...

I've been needing new sewing pins and keeping them in that little plastic container was an accident waiting to happen.
It was a quick fun project that the kiddos all ended up helping with.

Saturday was Kohler's Winterfest so we went to see the festivities. They had snow sculptures all around the village. They were all very impressive. The temperatures were up to about freezing which made for a pleasant outing. I never thought I'd be saying that, but when it's been in the single digits and below zero for days and days, freezing seemed very appealing!
